Bill Detail
An Act respecting the holding of a pan-Canadian conference on time change
This enactment provides that a pan-Canadian conference on time change must be held with representatives of the provincial governments, Indigenous governing bodies and other relevant stakeholders, and that a report on the conference must be published online.
Bill C-248, the Time Change Act, proposes to hold a pan-Canadian conference to discuss daylight saving time. This conference would bring together representatives from provincial governments, Indigenous governing bodies, and various stakeholders, including health scientists and representatives from different sectors like agriculture and public safety. The goal is to discuss the issues surrounding time changes, examine scientific studies on its effects, and explore the possibility of a more uniform approach across Canada.
